Happy Friday!

I just wanted to wish everyone a great weekend! Thank you all so much for your comments this week - it means a lot. I really love blogging and it makes me feel justified for spending time doing this when I know you all are reading. I am currently visiting Charleston, South Carolina with Hunter, my parents and little brother (hence the illustration). I am so excited to finally be visiting "the South." Hopefully I don't die from the heat before I get back (so humid!). Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!

Whales

I love these peaceful photographs taken of whales by Bryant Austin. Do you think of whales as peaceful or is it just me? These photographs come in life-sized prints - the largest is 6 x 30 ft. - to truly "capture the magnificence of whales" (quoting from this New York Times article, which I recommend reading. His story is incredible - I never knew how difficult it would be to capture whales on film). Alexandra Grecco

I had to share Alexandra Grecco's beautiful new collection with all of you. I feel like I want every single one of these dresses, and I want them now! They are all so pretty. Reginapolis

I found this amazing work of art at Design*Sponge the other day - its a map of New York City using Regina Spektor's lyrics! I say work of art, because I am a huge fan of Regina and was so excited to see that fellow fan Francesca Pasini used her creative genius to put this into existence.

Leftover Cuties

Kind of obsessed with their "Places to Go" track and the beautiful styling (by Faye at You Are The River) of their music video, "Game Called Life."

They also have a cover of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" is pretty awesome, too. Check it out!

Dear Keri Russell,

Usually I am not a fan of celebrity homes - I'm just not that all impressed with Jennifer Aniston's zen retreat or Kimora Lee Simmons' leopard filled dressing room (unless you are Jenna Lyons, Kate Spade, or, surprisingly, Atlanta Braves pitcher Derek Lowe). Maybe its because Jenn and Kim don't have design that's accessible for me - their expensive tastes isn't really something I can take a lot from.

... And then there's Keri Russell's home, pictured in June's Elle Decor. She shops at a lot of places I shop at - places that are (or will be someday) in my budget. And her husband has made a lot of the pieces in her home. Her walls aren't gilded. There's not a three ton fish tank. Or custom stone carved walls. Its beautiful and easy-going. And I want to live there!
