We are back in DC safe and sound, and no, the city looks nothing like this photo from New York City. But doesn't she look like she's having fun? Have a Happy New Year!

I got this Ugly Christmas Sweater T-shirt for Christmas and immediately changed to wear it for the rest of the day. If this doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, there is no hope for you. I love it! Thanks, Hunter! Also, another awesome t-shirt that is unfortunately unavailable :(.
This is Hunter celebrating Christmas in Guatemala in either 2004 or 2005. It makes me laugh! We are currently in Texas with Hunter's family and will be spending Christmas in the Anderson family cabin (built by his great-great-grandfather, Lewis R. Anderson) near Fish Lake in Central Utah - it will truly be a white Christmas! So - may everyone have a wonderful winter break and a happy holiday!

I've recently discovered these incredible hand-painted cookies by Maggie Austin. At $25/cookie and $75/quartet they are almost too beautiful to eat! I just want to be warm... and I won't complain about giraffes peeking their heads into my window to say hello to me!
Hetterson fall collection based in Oregon (so many things I like are coming from Oregon, lately). I want that sweater! Also, how beautiful is that tree?

I love this wreath! I might try to do this above the bed or something. The idea is from Country Living.

These works by Danish artist Jan Christensen strike an all too familiar cord. These last few months in my search for cool stuff to put on our white, empty walls in our new apartment, I realized just how poor this newly married couple is. I wish I could afford this! Also, this made me laugh since I always think this:
