I've noticed quite the trend in my online art viewing lately, which I will share with you. The following are prints, drawings and linocuts I would happily drill holes in my wall for (which would consequently cause me to lose some of my deposit):

I've been obsessing over photographers Travis and Maike's Cape Town home - it's the perfect combination of comfort, humor and personality. The details really take center stage here. And, as you can see, the photos in their own right are beautiful! See more of their photography at welovepictures and more of their home at love made me do it.

So knitting is pretty close to one of the last things on my mind right now with the extreme heat we are having in DC... but how beautiful are these sweaters, mittens, cowls, hats from Wool People??? These photos from the Wool People lookbook are part of a semi-annual design series curated by Brooklyn Tweed. Patterns are available to download on Brooklyn Tweed and Ravelry. I think its high time I move on from "knit 1, purl 2." And being too scared to knit without my mom, since she helps me fix my mistakes.

I don't know how many of you remember this post about modern art, but I think I'll ignore the advice given there, and follow this brilliant DIY on making your own modern art over at Oh Happy Day. Isn't this great?

Sometimes I don't have anything all that specific to post about - I just have a hodgepodge of ideas and things I like... So that's what today's post will be. Here goes:
Been looking up pictures of puppies - I think someone needs a dog:
Have an obsession with these photos of Other People's Houses:
Checking out these sweet rides from Numero 74 for my future babies:
Can't stop envisioning myself in one of these bean bags:
I've been wanting to make a headboard for awhile, but couldn't find any fabric I wanted for my bedroom. I think I've finally found out that I really just want to copy Grace:
Kind of fell in love with this room in the most recent Lonny:
Hope you all have a great weekend! Hunter and I will be journeying to Durham, North Carolina this weekend. Here's to hoping the air conditioning works the entire time and that it's not as hot as it is here in DC (it's 105 today with 48% humidity - feels like 116 degrees according to weather.com!!!).
