Brass Razoo

The clothing and jewelry pictured above are from the shop Brass Razoo, which means "a non-existent coin of trivial value." Named for her use of reclaimed materials, this Elise Vaughn has some really cute stuff for her Fall 2011 collection.

Alexa Chung for Madewell Fall 2011

Really excited for the road-trip inspired Alexa Chung for Madewell collection. Last year I was too late to snag any pieces... this year I'll be ready. Can't wait for September 22nd!

Carley Kay's Home

I love the light and bright home of photographer Carley Kay, featured on 6th Street Design School. I kinda want to find an exact replica of that TV stand (we're in the market). You can find details of the items in the above photos here and more photos of her home, here.

Laura Lombardi

Laura Lombardi's Autumn/Winter 2011 jewelry collection is so pretty. I love that she paired her pieces with loose sweaters, tank tops and clothes you'd wear around the house or on the weekend. My favorite (which was so hard to choose) is the Mesa Necklace for $115. Check out the items up close, here.

Aura Living

I love these images featuring products from Aura by Tracie Ellis line in Australia. I'm an especially big fan of this Inka in Smoke print, which makes an appearance in tea towels, table runners and tapas napkins. My list of reasons for needing to go to Australia (which includes doing this) just keeps getting longer...

Orla Kiely A/W 2011

I am all for the sixties mod trend this fall, which is especially embodied in Orla Kiely's Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. Can this line do no wrong? Also love the creepy/awesome video done for the collection:

See the lookbook here.

Don't you know that you're toxic

I saw this video at Dash it All and it's rocking my world. I love a good cover, especially if its old-school Britney Spears.

The Men Who Built Magnitogorsk

Sketches entitled "The Men Who Built Magnitogorsk" by Lizzy Stewart, who is an amazing illustrator living in Edinburgh. You can check out some of her books, cards and prints for sale in her Etsy shop.

Knotted Skirts

When I was running around New York last weekend, I noticed a lot of the ladies were tying up their skirts or dresses like this. I think it's a great way to transition maxi skirts into fall. I'll be keeping this in mind next time I have a "I have nothing to wear" moment.

Collected Magazine

I am so impressed with Collected magazine. It does not disappoint in home decor, men's fashion, women's fashion or - wait for it - travel and recipes! I don't know how they did it all, but I really loved it and recommend checking it out. Here are some of my favorite spreads:

Two years and counting...

So today is our two-year anniversary. I thought long and hard about putting up attractive, somewhat pleasing, pretty pictures of us (they exist here and here, if you'd like to see), but instead opted for these - photos we took on the always uninhibited photobooth app. I feel like they say more what we're all about than anything posed or planned. During our second year of marriage, I learned what a true friend really is and really means. It's more than getting someone to do Pores strips with you (guess who was the one wanting to do them...) - but I'm sure you all understand what I'm getting at. Hunter really is my best friend and I learn this more and more everyday we are together. He not only allows me to be my weird, goofy, real self - but encourages it. And I like to think I do the same for him. I saw this quote the other day and feel like it applies to us right now:

‎"When we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness - and call it love - true love." — Robert Fulghum

Here's to many more years of friendship - I love you, Hunter!

Mohawk General Store

Pretty obsessed with this entire outfit from Mohawk General Store. I looked around at the store to see if there was anything else I wanted to share, but I kept picking out the same bag, shoes, top in this photo. Here's the run down:

Basic Tee In Tobacco by Raquel Allegra / Dinner Clutch in Tan Leather by Marie Turnor / Box Pant in Black by Black Crane (My favorite) / Barbaro Boot in Bark by Rachel Comey

Here's hoping Hunter's interview goes really well (and really long) so I can do some shopping :).

Que Pasa, New York?

I am blogging from Brooklyn today, where we are staying with some of our friends for the weekend. Hunter had an interview in New York and I decided to tag along last minute... so here I am! So excited to explore the (rainy) city this weekend.
