What Are You Doing for New Years?

I'm guessing some of you may have already heard this duet from the adorable Zooey Deschanel and Joe Gordon-Levitt. It poses an excellent question - what are you doing for New Years? Hunter and I are doing fireworks and food with some friends on New Years Eve, but afterward? This year we are super motivated. And we have the gym passes to prove it ("thank you" - my pants). But, seriously, I'm pumped to take on my New Years resolutions with full force, even if I only end up doing them for a month. At least I'll have a really good month, rightt??? To celebrate this new found spirit, I'd like to reflect on the top posts Amarillo y Crema had to offer this year:

5. Paris in the 1920s: More than one of us was a fan of the fashions sparked by this summer's "Midnight in Paris". I'm seeing tons of dropped-waist dresses in the stores.

4. 4th of July and Two Years and Counting...: I received some sweet comments/tweets while documenting DC's favorite holiday and Hunter and my two year anniversary. Makes me excited for next year's highlights and milestones.

3. Loving Orla Kiely: Lets face it - we are all loving Orla Kiely!

2. The Marriage Telegram: Looks like I'm not the only one in for a "swinging time".

1. Rita Konig Style: Now this post took a long time to put together. But was it worth it? Yes, it was - according to my lovely readers, such as yourself. Who doesn't love a girl who makes her own illustrated fireplace (pssstt... check out this new to me photo).

Here's to another year of great posts! Have a Happy New Year everybody!

Happy 2012!

My boyfriend and I stayed home this year, and had a bottle of sparkling white wine, from a Barossa winery we had visited a few days before. It was a lovely relaxed night.

I love that beaded yellow dress and the faux fireplace by Rita Konig. Both are fabulous!
