DIY Photobooth?

I just discovered this website, photoboother, that converts your photos into photobooth strips. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this one...

Happy Halloween!!!

For Halloween we dressed up as angry #occupy Wall Street protesters, ate way too much candy/sweets, and carved a pumpkin (well... I watched Hunter carve a pumpkin). Favorite costumes this year included an 80s power couple (complete with baby dressed as a cell phone), lobster baby and all the zombies on my Facebook newsfeed. Hope you all had a good holiday!

Two years and counting...

So today is our two-year anniversary. I thought long and hard about putting up attractive, somewhat pleasing, pretty pictures of us (they exist here and here, if you'd like to see), but instead opted for these - photos we took on the always uninhibited photobooth app. I feel like they say more what we're all about than anything posed or planned. During our second year of marriage, I learned what a true friend really is and really means. It's more than getting someone to do Pores strips with you (guess who was the one wanting to do them...) - but I'm sure you all understand what I'm getting at. Hunter really is my best friend and I learn this more and more everyday we are together. He not only allows me to be my weird, goofy, real self - but encourages it. And I like to think I do the same for him. I saw this quote the other day and feel like it applies to us right now:

‎"When we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness - and call it love - true love." — Robert Fulghum

Here's to many more years of friendship - I love you, Hunter!

I heart you

I'm not sure if Hunter would agree... but I love these photo hearts above the bed, though I think I lean toward the proportional one on the bottom. So girly and romantic.

Squirrel Portraits

These portraits from Etsy shop berkley illustration were my Valentine's Day gift to Hunter this year. Since moving to DC, he's come to love all the squirrels running around our neighborhood. I think I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. Now if I could only decide where to hang them...

Ugly Christmas Sweater T-Shirt

I got this Ugly Christmas Sweater T-shirt for Christmas and immediately changed to wear it for the rest of the day. If this doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, there is no hope for you. I love it! Thanks, Hunter! Also, another awesome t-shirt that is unfortunately unavailable :(.

Merry Christmas!

This is Hunter celebrating Christmas in Guatemala in either 2004 or 2005. It makes me laugh! We are currently in Texas with Hunter's family and will be spending Christmas in the Anderson family cabin (built by his great-great-grandfather, Lewis R. Anderson) near Fish Lake in Central Utah - it will truly be a white Christmas! So - may everyone have a wonderful winter break and a happy holiday!

I miss you...

So Hunter's finals week has been really hard on me. As you can tell... I even started blogging again. Apparently law school finals are much more demanding than anything I've experienced. I don't know about you, but my former finals weeks and reading days were always when I emerged a social butterfly... like the one time I played snow football instead of studying for a physical science class (yeah, that one came back to haunt me). Or ate at Kneaders and Cafe Rio excessively. Or went eighties dancing the night before my morning final. Then there was also the finals week where I had just broken up with Hunter and was alone in my apartment, eating, crying and watching all three seasons of Arrested Development to make me feel better. So maybe finals weeks weren't always easy on me. What I'm trying to say is - Hunter, come hang out with me already!
