Mignonne Handmade

All I want to wear lately is blush pink and cream. I color code my closet, and these sections are getting a little out of control. Do you ever get stuck on a certain color scheme?

I feel like Mignonne Handmade's beautiful flowers and headpieces are the perfect complement to my growing obsession...

Free Art!!!

Andrea over at Pics-O-Andrea is offering free art for inspiration. Get your requests in tomorrow and you could get an Andrea original! If you miss the deadline, you can still join in on the fun - she'll be opening an Etsy shop soon due to the success of this project. Go here to submit a request. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to ask for. Any ideas?

Embroidered Art

I've been seeing a lot of embroidered art around the Internet lately. My favorite pieces so far come from Buenos Aires based artist Jazmin Berakha. I love the colors and details. To "get the look" you should check out these custom wedding portraits by Michelle Rigg. You can commission your own piece - which I think would be a really great Valentine's Day/anniversary gift (hint, hint):

Que Pasa, New York?

I am blogging from Brooklyn today, where we are staying with some of our friends for the weekend. Hunter had an interview in New York and I decided to tag along last minute... so here I am! So excited to explore the (rainy) city this weekend.

I had to share Alexandra Grecco's beautiful new collection with all of you. I feel like I want every single one of these dresses, and I want them now! They are all so pretty. A lot of these looks are already available on Alexandra's Etsy shop. This collection will also be available at the Bloomingdale's Soho location for a limited time - more information here.

Thistled Spring

A beautiful treasury over at Etsy, made by thee lovely Amy. My favorites are these awesome leather oxfords (too bad I'm not a 6 1/2) and the felt bunnies (I'm a sucker for anything miniature). Check it out!

Squirrel Portraits

These portraits from Etsy shop berkley illustration were my Valentine's Day gift to Hunter this year. Since moving to DC, he's come to love all the squirrels running around our neighborhood. I think I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. Now if I could only decide where to hang them...

Cottage Farm

Some items from the Caulfield Collection found over at Etsy shop Cottage Farm. That wallpaper would be so cute for a little boy's nursery.

Hindsvik

Lots of vintage ship vessel prints, wooden crates, and giant letters. What's not to like? Etsy shop Hindsvik is quickly becoming a favorite.

Man's Best Friend

This photo kind of made my day, so I hope it starts your Monday off right, as well. These life-size steel sculptures can be seen off the side of a road in South Dakota. I feel like that would be such a pleasant surprise while driving through the countryside! The photo is from Etsy shop ndtphoto, for sale here.

Cara Carmina

I LOVE these dolls by Cara Carmina:

Grumpy doll, with this description: "He is very grumpy and in a bad mood all the time and he is looking for someone who wants to adopt him and don´t mind his bad temper."

As someone with an already inordinate collection of non-typical children's toys (many made by my mom), would it be strange to buy these dolls for my future children? Really, the children part is just an excuse. I want the Grumpy for my own!

Paper Wreath

Pretty paper wreathes by Sadiie, made from the pages of old German books. Such a cool idea! And there is a lot more where that came from (as far as paper art goes) on her blog, found here.
